All passport photos and Immigration photos must be photographed according to the strict regulations described in official publications by International Governments.
What good of you look pretty when application is rejected ?
After the 9-11, most Passport photo and Visa photo rules were changed. Your Biometrics data will be shared digitally among US and international Governments. Correct Passport Photos and Visa Photos save your time and money, and protect you from problems at an airport.
What to Wear
Some counties are very particular on clothing as well as hair style. As far as US, Canada and EU countries go, there is no "dress code" for Passport Photos. However, here are some tips how to dress for passport photo.
Some countries are very particular about your clothing.
You have to follow not only the colour of clothing but sometimes style( like collared shirt) is required. If you are taking passport photos for the following countries, you must check application.
India, Jamaica, Hong Kong, Philippines, Iran( women only) and Saudi Arabia( women only).
Avoid white clothes
In general, please avoid white clothes. Most background being white, if you wear white, it will be blended into the back, resulting only your head looks floating in the air.
These photos could be judged as "not enough contrast against background", resulting rejection of your Passport and Visa application.
This rule applies to infants and babies.
Please have them dressed with coloured clothes.
We ask if you could bring with you the paper work for the particular Passport Photograph you require. Requirement change sometimes on a weekly base with so many country's world wide.
